Just a short note to let you know how much I appreciate "The Scoop". I have gotten an excellent response regarding my ad. I enjoy your husband's writing. They are always thought provoking, with a good dose of humor too.
The Scoop is definitely one of Airdrie's jewels. Congrats on reaching 10 years and may there be many more to come.
"That Dog Place"
All Fitts Auto has been doing business with Here's the Scoop and Advance Distribution now for over 7 years. I specialize in auto mechanics not marketing. In conversation one day I asked Lois for some advice and ideas. I have come to greatly appreciate that conversation as my ads have taken on a new look, I'm more involved in the business community and my shop has done a complete 360 make over. I truly appreciate what Lois and her team at Here's the Scoop has done for my business. I've learned that asking for help and advice from an already successful business was definitely in my best interest. I would recommend the talents & experience to any business that is willing to take advice and suggestions on their marketing and advertising avenues. My ads in Here's the Scoop look great and always new.

I work weekly with Here's the Scoop, and have for the past 3 years. The staff and professionalism is always appreciated! The product and services are quick, and of a top quality that puts myself and my business in the best light. They always have my best interests at heart, and the end result is always appreciated. Here's the Scoop is so popular in Airdrie and the surrounding areas, and touches so many people on a weekly basis! The Team at Here's the Scoop are Top Notch...and I never hesitate to recommend their services! My business succeeds because of my professional relationship with the Team at Here's the Scoop! Many Thanks!
Volunteer your time, help organize a community event, talk with your neighbours and share the dreams of what you would like to see in Airdrie.
I invite you to continue building your community, never doubt your forward thinking, your action and, of course, your hard work. These are just some of the values that have helped us get to where we are now and as we move into the next 100 years they will surely continue to define Airdrie as a very special place to live.
Sheldon Kennedy promotes Wild Rose Hockey Challenge
Former Flame Sheldon Kennedy is teaming up with Wild Rose MP Blake Richards to promote the fourth annual Wild Rose Hockey Challenge.
The popular charity hockey game between federal MPs and provincial MLAs is a major fundraising initiative in support of four victims’ assistance units: the Bow Valley Victim Services Association, the Airdrie and District Victim Assistance Society, the Cochrane and Area Victim Services Society and the Chinook Arch Victim Services Society. Last year’s event raised $83,000.
“This is one of my favourite charity events of the summer,” said Kennedy, “It’s a lot of fun to play in this game, and it gives fans a great chance to personally meet the players and it’s for a great cause.”
Kennedy headlines a long list of former and current NHLers to take part in the contest. Local hockey fans may also know Calgary’s Nick Johnson, now with the Minnesota Wild, former Flames Tony Stiles and Dwayne Hay and Airdrie’s Dana Tyrell of the Tamp Bay Lightning.
This year’s event will be held Aug. 18 in the Alex Kaleta Arena at the Canmore Recreation Centre. Doors open for a meet and greet with the players at 2:30 p.m. and the game begins at 4 p.m. Tickets are available online at: http://www.blakerichards.ca/wildrosehockey/
